Hi.
I'm Abacus. I'm 16. I'm from Didsbury.
I'm always scribbling in my notebooks and I thought why not put some of these thoughts on the web for other people to read?
These are my poems. I know I'm no Shakespeare or anything like that but that's OK. If you don't like them you don't have to read them.
I wanted to theme my poems so I have taken as my influence the great Holcroft Adams. In the thirties he wrote a series of poems about birds called An Alphabet of Flying Whimsy. My poems are less whimsical than his. They are about birds but also about me and my life. About growing up and what it is like being a teenager.
There will be two hundred poems in total each named after a bird. I will take the bird as my original inspiration and then move from there.
I love birds and I love poetry. I hope you do to.

How funny that you should have read Holcroft Adams. He is almost unheard of nowadays though of course quite fashionable in his day.
